DOB: 5/6/1985
AGE:24

CONTRACT INFO: 2Details
 Darren Collison-G- HornetsFeb. 8 - 10:59 pm et
Hornets rookie Darren Collison had yet another huge game on Monday, posting 27 points (12-of-22 FGs), three rebounds, nine assists, four steals and four turnovers in 47 minutes.
The Hornets took some heat this summer for drafting "another" speedy 6'0" point guard, but nobody is questioning the decision these days. Hopefully you were able to grab Collison went CP3 went down -- he's putting up elite PG numbers and should do so until Paul gets back.

 Peja Stojakovic-G/F - Hornets Feb. 5 - 11:11 pm et

Peja Stojakovic hit 8-of-14 shots and four 3-pointers for 23 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in Friday's loss.
He's averaging 16 points in his last five games and has hit either three or four 3-pointers in four of those. If he's available in your league, pick him up. He's picking up the scoring gap left by the absence of Chris Paul and Marcus Thornton.

Following reports of Chris Paul having underwent successful surgery on his left knee that will keep him out 4-6 weeks, the New Orleans Times-Picayune is reporting that he will spend 2-3 weeks on crutches.
If he spends two weeks on crutches, it still seems a bit optimistic that he would be able to return two weeks later in game shape. Of course we're early in the process, but the "six week" side of that timeline seems to be where owners should be targeting, which still gives him just over 10 games to produce for owners.
 Chris Paul-G - Hornets Feb. 4 - 6:24 pm et

Chris Paul underwent successful surgery on his left knee Thursday and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
These initial timetables are often incorrect, but 4-6 weeks seems very reasonable. If CP3 missed the entire six weeks from today, he'll return for about the final 12 games of the season. Do not cut him under any circumstance. Darren Collison will continue to be a must-start fantasy play as long as Paul is out.

 Jason Kidd-G - Mavericks Feb. 4 - 12:46 am et

Jason Kidd had just six points, but added three rebounds, 16 assists, six steals and two 3-pointers in Wednesday's win over the Warriors.
He was just 2-of-8 from the floor, but is still a top fantasy performer. We've heard of some offers of Kidd for Chris Paul, and at this point, we'd lean toward taking the healthy Kidd in that deal.
 Chris Paul-G - Hornets Feb. 3 - 11:21 am et

Chris Paul will undergo surgery for a meniscus tear in his left knee on Thursday, according to coach Jeff Bower.
Paul is expected to be out for approximately one month. This is tough news for fantasy owners, but it looks like Paul has dodged the worst-case scenario and should still come back to salvage value this season. Obviously outright dropping CP3 in fantasy leagues is not advised, but if you can get something substantial for him from a contender in your league, consider pulling the trigger. Meanwhile, Darren Collison should be owned and starting in all leagues, while starting SG Marcus Thornton sees a slight bump in value as the new backup PG.
