 Ryan Gomes-F- TimberwolvesFeb. 6 - 11:16 pm et
Ryan Gomes scored 26 points on Saturday, one point shy of his season-high, making 10-of-14 FGs (including 5-of-7 from downtown) as the Wolves defeated the Grizzlies.
Gomes scored 20 points in a flurry of first-half activity, then cooled off as the Griz defense geared itself toward shutting him down. He's scored double digit points in five consecutive games and has finally resumed being a worthwhile fantasy option.
 Kevin Love-F/C - Timberwolves Jan. 31 - 3:03 pm et

Coach Kurt Rambis said that Kevin Love, who played just 23 minutes but still had a double-double by halftime in Friday's win, will continue to come off the bench as he plans to continue using that lineup going forward.
"I like to give Kevin more time out there on the floor," said Rambis. "He probably needs to be in that 30-minute-a-game range." Love himself doesn't know why he's not playing as much, but he's playing it cool and not complaining. Unfortunately, while he is still producing, his upside is limited while Rambis tinkers.

 Kevin Love-F/C - Timberwolves Jan. 29 - 7:46 pm et

Kevin Love will continue to come off the bench against the Clippers on Friday, with Ryan Hollins starting at center and Ryan Gomes at small forward.
Odd-man out Damien Wilkins also moves to the bench. Owners sure won't like this, even if Love has handled the shakeup pretty well. We can't see this continuing much longer, and especially if he struggles Friday, the "demotion" makes for a nice buy low opportunity.

 Kevin Love-F/C - Timberwolves Jan. 29 - 3:06 am et

Coach Kurt Rambis is considering making Kevin Love a starter again in Friday's game against the Clippers, but is still concerned about his second unit.
"We're having too big a slide in our second unit," said Rambis. "I've got to find a way to bolster that but not take away from the first unit." Unless the Wolves go on an unlikely winning streak with Love in the second unit, it sounds like Rambis is losing the resolve to keep him from starting.

 Kevin Love-F/C - Timberwolves Jan. 28 - 11:16 am et

T-Wolves coach Kurt Rambis defended his decision to start Ryan Gomes over Kevin Love by arguing that Love provides greater bench strength to the rotation.
Love says he's "fine" with the shake-up, but his play doesn't reflect this at all. Love owners need to be patient and hope that this experiment doesn't last long.

 Kevin Love-F/C - Timberwolves Jan. 26 - 10:09 pm et

Kevin Love played just 17 minutes off the bench on Tuesday, posting six points, five rebounds and four turnovers.
Love shot 3-of-8 and had a team-worst +/- rating of -26 despite such limited playing time. We still expect him to rejoin the starting five before long, so stay patient -- starting PF Ryan Gomes had 13 points, two 3s, seven rebounds and two steals in 23 minutes.
