Carmelo Anthony has been ruled out of Friday's game against the Lakers and said he will "probably" miss Saturday's game against the Jazz as well.
Melo says there's still a chance he'll play on Tuesday, but we're getting very close to the All-Star break now. The Nuggets have to be considering shutting down their franchise player through the break. He's now missed six straight games with what expected to be a minor ankle sprain, while Joey Graham will grab another start.

Joey Graham, starting in place of Carmelo Anthony (ankle) once again, had 13 points and seven boards on Wednesday.
This was Graham's best game during his latest run as a starter. Leave him on waivers, even if Melo sits again on Friday.

The Nuggets are calling Carmelo Anthony (ankle) a game-time decision for Wednesday.
This is getting somewhat maddening. Signs have pointed toward this being the night that Melo would return, but at this point we wouldn't be stunned to see the Nuggets hold him out one more game. George Karl says that Joey Graham will get the start if Anthony is unable to go.

Coach George Karl was confident that Carmelo Anthony (sprained ankle) will be able to play against the Suns on Wednesday.
We've been down this road before, so check back on Wednesday to be certain. Melo has missed five games even though the Nuggets have repeatedly said that he could play if it was a playoff situation. "I don't know if he can play 35-40 minutes. We'll have to evaluate that as the game goes on," Karl said.

ESPN's Lisa Salters reported that Carmelo Anthony will probably play in Monday's game against the Kings during Chauncey Billups' post-game interview.
We expect to get a more definitive report by the time lineup decisions need to be made Monday, since all indications are that he will play. It's shaping up to be a good four-game week for him with nice matchups against the Kings, Suns, Lakers, and Jazz, which all figure to be higher-scoring affairs.

Carmelo Anthony (sprained ankle) is considered doubtful for Friday's game against the Thunder.
We're not aware of a setback here and we suspect the Nuggets are just playing it safe. "I'm not saying he probably won't try, but after the shootaround today I'd say he's 60-40 not going (to play)," Karl said about Friday's game. Karl had previously said that his franchise player could have played Wednesday if it was a playoff game. Joey Graham will start, but Arron Afflalo stands to benefit most.
