Rafer Alston scored 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting (including three 3-pointers) with four rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 28 minutes of run on Saturday.
Unfortunately for his prospects in fantasy leagues, this represents a "good" game for him, which is usually mixed in with two or three absolutely horrible games. As the starter in a pretty bad backcourt he's going to get his minutes, but he needs to prove a lot before we'll give him too much thought.

Rafer Alston was held to two points, one rebound, and four assists in just 15 minutes of action on Thursday against the Cavs.
The Heat gave up on Alston in this one, who was unable to exploit a Cavs team starting no players under 6'6" tall. Look for Miami to start using Wade more at the point guard position, and platoon whatever minutes are left between Alston and Carlos Arroyo, who is equally inept in fantasy leagues.

Daniel Gibson will not play in Thursday's game against the Heat for personal reasons, and Jawad Williams will start in his place with LeBron James handling point guard duties.
The Cavs will not start a player under 6'6" tonight, so in theory Rafer Alston should be able to get inside the lane. Look for a big game from LBJ, and Cavs beat writer Brian Windhorst says Danny Green will get extended playing time, but we wouldn't run to the wire based on that info. As of now, Delonte West will not be activated, giving owners a clue about his status.

Rafer Alston hit 6-of-10 shots and three 3-pointers on his way to 15 points and three assists in Wednesday's loss.
He was 0-for-4 on Monday, but looked better tonight. More assists would be nice, but regardless of who plays point guard, the offense runs through Dwyane Wade. Carlos Arroyo was scoreless in seven minutes off the bench.

Heat PG Rafer Alston was scoreless on Monday, missing all four of his shots and handing out just one assist in 19 minutes.
Ouch. We expected more with Mario Chalmers (thumb) unavailable, but backup Carlos Arroyo (10 points, two assists in 22 minutes) was simply more effective than Alston tonight. Miami's PG rotation is best avoided, though Rafer is usually good for a few 3s, assists and steals.

Heat PG Rafer Alston scored just five points on 1-of-8 shooting on Saturday, adding four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 29 minutes.
Alston and Carlos Arroyo (12 points, two steals in 13 minutes) have essentially forced Mario Chalmers out of the rotation, though currently Chalmers is out with a sprained thumb. Alston is shooting 36% this season, which is barely two percentage points worse than his career average.
