Free agent CB Leigh Bodden is aiming for a long-term contract this offseason.
Bodden, 28, took a one-year "prove-it" deal to play for New England in 2009, led the team in pass breakups (17), finished second in picks (5), and now wants a multi-year commitment. If he can't get it from the Pats, Bodden should easily be able to find taker as the top UFA corner on the market.

Patriots CB Leigh Bodden intercepted Jets QB Mark Sanchez three times Sunday.
The performance tied a franchise record, most recently accomplished by Asante Samuel in 2006. The Pats had been using a rotation at cornerback, though Shawn Springs has been inactive for two straight weeks.

The Patriots are using a rare four-man rotation at cornerback this season, with Leigh Bodden playing the most.
Bodden has played 75% of the snaps, while Jonathan Wilhite plays second most (66%) and rookie Darius Butler (55) is third. Shawn Springs brings up the rear at 49%. The plan has worked, as New England ranks fifth against the pass and isn't giving up nearly as many big plays as last year's secondary.
