Putzier is a name from back in an earlier stint with the Broncos in 2005. He's unlikely to garner much interest around the league. The Broncos also cut seventh-round rookie C Blake Schlueter, WR C.J. Jones and P Britton Colquitt.

Jones goes from one Belichick disciple (GM Scott Pioli) to another (Josh McDaniels). He'll try to make Denver's 53-man roster as a special teamer.

Jones has spent parts of the last two seasons on New England's practice squad and roster, so he appears to be a pet project of new Chiefs GM Scott Pioli. He'll battle for a job this summer.
