The Colts worked out free agent receivers D.J. Hackett, David Patten, and Chad Jackson on Tuesday.
None was signed. The Colts only kept four wideouts on their Week 1 roster and need help with Anthony Gonzalez (knee) out indefinitely. Only Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon, and rookie slot man Austin Collie are available.

Redskins released WR D.J. Hackett.
It was the Marko Mitchell show for the Redskins this preseason and that was that for Hackett. He might get some bites around the league as a guy with major NFL experience.

The Washington Post projects D.J. Hackett to miss the cut on the Redskins' final roster.
Santana Moss, Devin Thomas, Malcolm Kelly, and Antwaan Randle El are locked in. Rookie Marko Mitchell also appears to be. Hackett hasn't had a standout training camp and would need the Skins to carry six receivers to last.

Redskins signed WR D.J. Hackett.
Hackett, who knows Jim Zorn's offense from Seattle, will be an option for the No. 5 receiver job after Roydell Williams was waived/injured. Coming off a 13/181/0 season with the Panthers, the injury-plagued Hackett won't have any fantasy value in the Redskins' typically conservative offense.

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that the Chiefs will work out free agent D.J. Hackett on Monday.
This isn't the greatest sign for Mark Bradley. Devard Darling ran with the first-team offense at Sunday's training camp practice, indicating that Bradley won't be handed a starting role. Hackett would add even more competition.

The Lions will try out free agent wideout D.J. Hackett on Tuesday, according to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora.
They must have not been blown away by Keary Colbert and John Standeford at OTAs. Hackett could put pressure on starting split end Bryant Johnson.
