Derrick Ward rushed 10 times for just 34 yards in the Bucs' Week 10 loss.
He didn't catch a pass, which was a disappointment after Ward racked up 3-54-1 through the air in Week 9 against Green Bay. Predictably, the Bucs' ground game struggled against Miami's tough rush defense on Sunday. Ward and Cadillac Williams continue to all but cancel each other out in terms of fantasy relevance. Consider them only flex options in Week 11 against New Orleans.

Derrick Ward is active for Sunday's tilt with the Dolphins.
The Bucs' inactives are third QB Byron Leftwich, WR Yamon Figurs, CB Mike Mickens, FB Chris Pressley, OG Shawn Murphy, OL James Lee, WR Antonio Bryant and DE Greg White. Ward's activity crushes Cadillac Williams' Week 10 value against a Dolphins defense that gets back ILB Channing Crowder and NT Jason Ferguson, and already ranked in the top five against the run.

Derrick Ward was a late addition to the Bucs' Week 10 injury report, and is questionable with a knee injury.
He sat out Friday's practice, which is never a good sign. Ward has battled knee ailments on and off all year. While he isn't a stand-alone fantasy option, Ward's absence would significantly increase Cadillac Williams' workload against Miami. They've been in a tight timeshare of late.

Derrick Ward totaled 54 yards and one touchdown on three catches and rushed four times for five yards in Week 9 against the Packers.
Ward was a non-factor in the ground game, but twice served as Josh Freeman's outlet over the middle for nice gains and easily beat Aaron Kampman in one-on-one coverage near the goal line for a score.

The Bucs coaching staff says a lack of possessions has resulted in Derrick Ward's lack of touches.
The Bucs don't know what they want to do with their backfield. Some weeks they say it's an even timeshare, and others they say they want Cadillac Williams to be the man. One thing they're right on is that going three-and-out on the majority of your possessions isn't helping anyone get touches. Both Ward and Williams are struggling to maintain fantasy viability.

 Derrick Ward-RB - Buccaneers Oct. 25 - 4:44 pm et

Derrick Ward rushed 13 times for 48 yards and caught one pass for eight yards in Sunday's loss to the Patriots.
Ward was holding his hand or wrist in the first half after trying to block Vince Wilfork, but he came back into the game and looked fine. Ward was the clear No. 2 back, but the timeshare was much more even this week. Caddy Williams and Ward split the series pretty evenly and neither is much of a fantasy option as the Bucs head into their bye.
