Derrick Ward (questionable, knee/thigh) did not practice on Friday.
Ward's status is up in the air for Sunday's game against Atlanta. If he can't play, Cadillac Williams will dominate the Buccaneers' backfield.

Derrick Ward (knee) returned to a limited practice Thursday.
It's a good sign that he'll be able to go in the season finale. Still, look for Cadillac Williams to get the majority of the work against the Falcons.

Derrick Ward (knee) missed Bucs practice Wednesday.
Ward's knee is becoming a serious concern, as it caused him to pull out of last Sunday's win over New Orleans. His status is unclear for Week 17.

Derrick Ward took himself out of Sunday's win over the Saints because of knee problems.
Apparently, this wasn't a "hot hand" situation. Ward, whose knee has nagged at him for most of the season, went to Caddy Williams during the second half and told him to finish out the game. Ward's status for Week 17 is unknown.

Derrick Ward received just seven carries in Week 16, taking them for 32 yards.
He was also not used in the passing game, a week after getting 20 touches in the Bucs' Week 15 win over Seattle. Cadillac Williams retook his lead back job on Sunday, further confirming how unreliably unpredictable usage is in this backfield. The Buccaneers host the Falcons in Week 17.
