Panthers rookie CB/PR Captain Munnerlyn could miss Sunday's game with a concussion.
Munnerlyn had his bell rung while taking back a punt against the Jets last week. He didn't have any symptoms until Monday and even though he wants to play, look for the Panthers to hold him out. Munnerlyn ranks ninth in the league with a 10.6 yard average on punt returns.

Rookie CB Captain Munnerlyn may have nailed down starting punt return duties after a return of 58 yards before barely stepping out at the Dolphins 25 Saturday night.
Although Munnerlyn did fumble one, he recovered it before the Dolphins could. This is not good news for Ryne Robinson, who is on the roster bubble.

Panthers rookie Captain Munnerlyn is battling second-round pick Sherrod Martin and C.J. Wilson for nickelback duties.
The 5'9/185 Munnerlyn has also been returning a few punts throughout camp. We don't see Munnerlyn being the Panthers' nickel, but he's making a strong push to make the final squad as a seventh-round pick

Panthers signed seventh-round CB Captain Munnerlyn to a four-year contract, including a signing bonus of roughly $60,000.
Munnerlyn, who just turned 21, was a surprise early entrant in the draft. With just mid-4.5 speed at 5'9/185, his physical skill set isn't anything special, but Munnerlyn could survive as a fifth corner in Carolina's thin secondary.

Panthers selected South Carolina CB Captain Munnerlyn with the No. 216 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
A surprise early entrant, Munnerlyn is very small (5'8/182) and ran slower than expected at the Combine with a 4.53 forty. He's going to have a hard time beating out Dante Wesley and C.J. Wilson to make the 53-man club.
