Mathieu Carle has been sent down to the minors.
Montreal called up Carle to pitch in while the Canadiens dealt with a number of injured blueliners. Carle has no points and a plus-one plus/minus rating in three NHL games this season.

Jay Leach will make his Montreal debut on Tuesday night.
He will be paired with Marc-Andre Bergeron on the blueline after being claimed off waivers from the Devils late last week. Mathieu Carle will sit as a healthy scratch.

Mathieu Carle played for 12:55 minutes in his season debut Tuesday.
Carle was called up to fill in for Hal Gill, who is out with a leg injury. Carle was solid in Tuesday's game, finishing with a plus-one plus/minus rating. He's not expected to have any fantasy value this season.

Mathieu Carle will make his NHL debut on Tuesday night versus the Thrashers.
He will start the game with Marc-Andre Bergeron, but coach Jacques Martin said the pairings could be changed during the game. Carle was called up on Tuesday to replace Hal Gill, who is out with a leg injury, in the lineup.
