 | | | | | | | Five minutes after play resumed following a two-month wait, Nyjer Morgan scored on a game-ending error as the Nationals beat the Astros in 11 innings.
The game was suspended on May 5 with the winning run, in the form of Elijah Dukes, on base in the bottom of the 11th. After play resumed tonight, Josh Willingham singled and Josh Bard hit a grounder up the middle. It looked like a double-play ball, but Miguel Tejada's relay from first was wild and Morgan, who had pinch-ran for the since-demoted Dukes, came around to score, ending the game at 11-10. Joel Hanrahan, now a Pirate after being part of the trade that brought Morgan to Washington, was the winning pitcher for the Nationals. | | | | | | | |
