Jan. 3 - 8:04 pm et
T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught three passes for 66 yards in Week 17.
Reports that Housh didn't have speed to stretch the field in '09 free agency were dead on. He barely topped 11.0 YPC in his first year with Seattle, wasn't a difference maker in the red zone (3 TDs), and definitely wasn't worth the $40M contract fired GM Tim Ruskell gave him last March. Housh turns 33 at the start of next season, so his outlook will continue to dwindle.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel observed that T.J. Houshmandzadeh "played like a street free agent" in the Packers' Week 16 drubbing of Seattle.
Housh is shaping up as a $40 million free agent bust. The Journal-Sentinel also observed that he "looked slow and hardly more than a possession receiver." Houshmandzadeh has 794 yards and three scores on the year.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught four passes for 51 yards in Week 16 against the Packers.
Houshmandzadeh has at least four catches in all but one game this season, but hasn't scored since Week 9 and has topped 80 yards just twice.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught seven passes for 73 yards in Week 15 against the Bucs.
Houshmandzadeh had five grabs in the first half and ended up with his third-highest total of the season, but hasn't scored since Week 9.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh had to be helped off the field after taking a hard fall against the Texans Sunday, but was fine to finish the game.
Housh went over the middle and was flipped over by safety Dominique Barber. He should be fine for next week. Housh led the Seahawks in targets Sunday with eight, but remains a low-upside fantasy option.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught four passes for 52 yards against the Texans in Week 14.
This is par for the course with Housh this season. He had a chance for a touchdown, but he couldn't out-jump rookie corner Brice McCain on a short floater in the end zone. This was just Housh's second game over 50 yards in the past two months. He's a weak WR3 against the Bucs at home next week.

Dec. 6 - 7:43 pm et
T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught five passes for 37 yards against the 49ers in Week 13.
Housh was practically invisible until hauling in three passes in the two-minute drill. He's topped 50 yards just once in the past seven weeks, making him an underwhelming WR3 option against the Texans next week.

Nov. 29 - 4:36 pm et
T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught two passes for 14 yards in Week 12.
Housh finished the first half with no catches and only a few targets. He was targeted twice near the end zone in the third quarter, but Matt Hasselbeck wasn't throwing great passes and the Seahawks mostly opted to run the ball. Housh is headed for a disappointing finish to the 2009 season.

Nov. 22 - 4:02 pm et
T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught four passes for 36 yards in Week 11 against the Vikings.
Just a little more to make the Vikings thankful that Houshmandzadeh picked Seattle over Minnesota this offseason. He had a huge game against Arizona last week thanks to 17 targets, but Houshmandzadeh was mostly a non-factor in Week 11.

Nov. 15 - 8:11 pm et
T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught nine passes for 165 yards against the Cardinals in Week 10.
While Nate Burleson was getting shut out, Housh enjoyed his best game as a Seahawk. Housh made up for his subpar speed with terrific hands and an incredible 17 targets. Not typically a big-play threat, he came through with gains of 53 and 34 yards against Arizona. He'll have a tougher time against the Vikings next week.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught six passes for 34 yards and a touchdown in Week 9.
Houshmandzadeh beat Lions rookie linebacker DeAndre Levy on his two-yard touchdown in the third quarter. On pace for 82 catches for 834 yards and six receiving scores, Houshmandzadeh has merely been a WR3 play in fantasy.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught four passes for 24 yards in Week 8.
Housh still isn't making anything happen after the catch. He is a reliable possession receiver, but it's easy to see now why so few teams heavily pursued him in the offseason. He's not worth the $40M contract GM Tim Ruskell gave him.

Oct. 18 - 7:08 pm et
T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught four balls for 34 yards in Week 6.
Seattle's offense was completely ineffective, so Housh did well just to lead the team in receiving. He was the only Seahawk to catch more than two passes. The Cards had the No. 32 pass defense coming into the game, but Matt Hasselbeck couldn't capitalize behind his swinging gate of an offensive line.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh wants to see the ball thrown his way more in Seattle.
"I've just got to get these coaches to realize, throw me the ball. Maybe I've said it too much," said Housh on Friday. He has 27 catches this season, which isn't all that bad, but for the five-year, $40 million contract he signed, it's disappointing. It's his fewest receptions through five games since 2005. T.J. has picked it up as of late, though.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught five passes for 77 yards and two touchdowns against the Jaguars in Week 5.
The Jags came into the game with the league's worst secondary, and Housh spend the afternoon burning their best corner, Rashean Mathis. With 13 catches for 180 yards and two touchdown the past two weeks, he's streaking into next week's matchup against the Cardinals.

Oct. 4 - 4:25 pm et
T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught eight passes for 103 yards in Week 4 against the Colts.
Houshmandzadeh did a lot of that damage in garbage time, but his owners will take it after he totaled just 145 yards on 14 grabs through three games. He's now on pace for 992 yards on 88 catches, but has yet to reach the end zone.

Sep. 28 - 8:18 am et
T.J. Houshmandzadeh didn't take the blame for his four catch, 35 yard performance Sunday against the Bears.
Earlier in the week, Houshmandzadeh said he would win 95 percent of the time against the Bears defensive backs. That clearly wasn't the case Sunday. "But I was open all game. They just didn't throw me the ball," Houshmandzadeh said. Nate Burleson led the Seahawks with nine catches.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh had four catches for 35 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bears.
Houshmandzadeh also lost a critical fumble late in the game. He did leave the game briefly while trainers looked at his hand, but the injury didn't appear to be a factor as he came back in the game and pulled down a jump ball. Housh's value is hurt when Matt Hasselbeck (ribs) doesn't play, as he didn't Sunday.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh (back, probable) practiced fully again Friday.
He'll start Sunday, but may continue to struggle to generate yards-after-catch against Bears CB Peanut Tillman. Housh's QB will also be Seneca Wallace.

Sep. 24 - 6:11 pm et
T.J. Houshmandzadeh (back) returned to a full practice Thursday, as expected.
Housh could be a safety blanket for Seneca Wallace if Matt Hasselbeck sits against the Bears on Sunday, but the offense will likely produce fewer scoring opportunities.
