Marques Colston saw just two targets in the Saints' Week 10 win.
His first didn't come until the third quarter. Ronald Bartell had good coverage against the Saints' No. 1 receiver, holding Colston to 17 yards on two receptions. It was his weakest effort since Week 16 of 2007, but Colston has a very favorable stretch-run schedule and makes for a terrific buy low.

Marques Colston was limited to two catches for 17 yards in Week 10.
Colston has hit a bit of a cold streak. He caught just one pass in Week 9 and was barley targeted this Sunday against the Rams. He also made the foolish decision to stretch for the end zone in the third quarter and lost a fumble that came close to costing the Saints their undefeated record.

Marques Colston (flu) practiced fully Friday and is listed as probable for Week 10 against the Rams.
Colston won't have many better matchups for the rest of the season. He will start and remains our No. 2 overall fantasy wide receiver for Week 10.

Marques Colston (flu) returned to a limited practice Thursday, as expected.
Look for him to be upgraded to full participation Friday. Colston is our No. 2 ranked wide receiver option this week against a weak Rams defense.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune confirms that Colston does not have Swine Flu. Fantasy football's No. 8 overall wideout is due back on Thursday.

Marques Colston had just one catch for 45 yards against the Panthers in Week 9.
Colston had two drops in the first half and two near touchdowns in the second half. He lost one score when the ball squirted out after he hit the ground, and he lost another when he couldn't pull the ball down in heavy traffic. He'll bounce back in St. Louis next week.

Marques Colston caught six passes for 85 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' 35-27 win over the Falcons on Monday night.
Colston caught all six passes that were thrown his way, as he went up for a couple to make some acrobatic catches. He scored his touchdown over the tiny Tye Hill in an obvious mismatch. Colston is Drew Brees' number one red zone target and is a clear WR1. He and the Saints take on Carolina next week.

Marques Colston caught five passes for 72 yards and a touchdown against the Dolphins in Week 7.
Colston also had one touchdown overturned at the 1-yard line and another snatched out of his leaping hands by Dolphins nickel back Nate Jones. He had the opportunity for yet another score and a 2-point conversion but was unable to reel in either pass. He's earned Drew Brees' utmost trust in the red zone and is a bonafide WR1.

Marques Colston racked up 166 yards and a touchdown on eight catches against the Giants in Week 6.
So much for the talk of Corey Webster being a shutdown corner. Colston played big, repeatedly spinning in the air for tough catches in traffic. He caught 8-of-9 targets and clearly has Drew Brees' trust as a go-to receiver. Colston should be a WR1 going forward in the Saints' explosive offense.

Marques Colston had just two catches for 33 yards in Sunday's win over the Jets.
Jets CB Darrelle Revis is no joke. The future All-Pro was in Colston's shirt the whole game, even looking like he was the intended receiver on some routes. Colston is on pace for 68 catches, 912 yards and 12 touchdowns. Expect the yardage to remain relatively low with all the Saints' weapons, but Colston is the clear red zone option for Drew Brees.

Marques Colston caught four passes for 67 yards against the Bills in Week 3.
Three of the receptions came on the first drive, where Colston was stopped just shy of the end zone. Colston was targeted just seven times, which isn't bad considering Drew Brees attempted only 29 passes. Colston will likely draw shutdown corner Darrelle Revis next week.

Drew Brees says he trusts Marques Colston "more than he has ever trusted anyone on the field."
"You're trying to throw the ball to our guy, away from their guy," Brees said. "And our guy is 6'5", and their guy is 5'10". (Colston) knows where that ball is going to be and when it's going to be there." So far, Colston is the No. 3 overall fantasy receiver with three TDs and 128 yards on 11 catches.

Marques Colston abused the Eagles secondary Sunday, catching eight balls for 98 yards and two touchdowns.
A dominant effort. Colston caught every one of his eight targets and continues to be who Drew Brees looks for in the red zone. His first touchdown came from 15 yards out when he was wide open in the back of the end zone. The second came when Brees simply threw a jump ball to Colston on a vertical route. Despite speculation that there's "no No. 1 receiver in New Orleans," Colston is a true WR1.

Marques Colston caught three passes for 30 yards and a touchdown against the Lions in Week 1.
Colston looked like he was in for a big game when he reeled in a 9-yard touchdown early in the game, but Drew Brees didn't have a favorite target on Sunday. Colston was targeted just six times on Brees' 34 attempts. He'll draw Asante Samuel next week at Philly.

Marques Colston caught six passes for 66 yards against the Texans Saturday night.
Colston caught all six of his targets and appears to be no worse for the wear after offseason microfracture surgery. While Reggie Bush has had setbacks, Colston insists he's feeling great and looks the part. He's safe to draft as a WR1.

Aug. 5 - 10:04 pm et
Marques Colston (microfracture surgery) says he's "feeling great" physically and has consistently been completing practices at Saints camp.
"My whole goal is to become a better receiver. I had a lot of drops last year...I just want to go out and catch the ball a lot more consistently," says Colston. This is excellent news for Drew Brees, as he was the league's top passer last season with his No. 1 receiver playing at less than 100 percent.

After being limited for much of the offseason workouts, Marques Colston fully worked in drills Friday.
Colston is coming off of microfracture surgery in January to repair a small hole he had worn in his left kneecap. He says he's "100 percent injury-free" but all the small nicks have to be of concern. Regardless, Colston will be drafted as a Top-10 fantasy WR in the Saints' explosive offense.

Marques Colston and Reggie Bush, both coming off of microfracture surgery, are reportedly entering training camp at 100 percent.
The news is especially heartening as it was the second surgery in two years for both players. Colston should be a lock as Top-10 WR in fantasy drafts, but his injury history suggests that he won't come without risk. While Bush is now healthy, his ADP is falling due to concerns about his role with Pierre Thomas emerging as the lead back.

Saints beat writer Mike Triplett expects Marques Colston to post 10-12 touchdowns "if not more" this season.
Production has never been a problem for Colston. However, after knee surgeries in two straight offseasons, the Saints' No. 1 receiver will be a high-risk, high-reward fantasy pick in 2009.

Marques Colston (microfracture surgery) returned to a full practice Sunday and reportedly looked outstanding in 11-on-11 work.
He reportedly caught everything thrown his way, and coach Sean Payton said there's "no question" that his top receiver will be 100% by training camp.
