Boyd Gordon was activated from the IL on Saturday.
Gordon missed more than a month with a back injury. He was eased back into the lineup by coach Bruce Boudreau, only giving him 5:55 of ice time. He was held pointless.

He missed practice again on Saturday and a possible return date is unclear at this time. "He hasn't skated in three weeks, so if he was cleared for practice on Tuesday, I would have to believe it's another week after that before he's ready to play," said coach Bruce Boudreau.

Gordon is a valuable faceoff man for the Capitals so his eventual return will be positive for the team in the circles. Other than that his fantasy value is minimal at best.

Gordon has been sidelined for four consecutive games due to back spasms. "I don't know if it's more severe, but it keeps lingering," coach Bruce Boudreau said. "It's taking time." Consider him doubtful for Tuesday's game against Philadelphia.

Gordon has been sidelined since October 12th because of his back injury. Gordon is traveling with the team to Atlanta on Thursday and New York to play the Islanders on Saturday, so there's a chance he'll play in one of those games.

The Washington Capitals have re-signed Boyd Gordon to a one-year/$761,250 contract.
Gordon accepted the Capitals qualifying offer. Gordon is a fourth line player who is a lot better NHLer than fantasy player. He managed five goals and 14 points in 63 games last season. He chipped in with a meager 16 minutes in penalties. He has no fantasy value.

Gordon broke his index finger on his right hand on March 19th. However, he's almost ready to return to Washington's lineup and he could be fully recovered in time for the playoffs. Stay tuned.

Gordon is recovering from a broken index finger in his right hand. The injury occurred on March 19. He had hoped to return before the playoffs, but that was an unrealistic goal. While he isn't a fantasy force, he owns the second best faceoff percentage on the team, something that becomes more important in the playoffs.
