 Patrick Lalime-G- SabresNov. 21 - 3:27 pm et
Patrick Lalime will likely be between the pipes for Buffalo on Saturday.
Coach Lindy Ruff has not officially named a starter for Saturday's game in Ottawa, but Ryan Miller faced several shooters at practice while Lalime rested, indicating that the backup would play. Miller has also started the last five contests for the Sabres, including last night's 2-1 overtime loss to Boston.

Drew Stafford will not play on Saturday night due to a lower-body bone bruise.
He suffered the injury on Friday night against Boston and is listed as day-to-day. The Sabres will not recall anyone to replace him for Saturday's game and will dress 11 forwards versus Ottawa. However, coach Lindy Ruff said that Andrej Sekera will be put back into the lineup and he or Steve Montador will move up from the blueline and play up front.

 Tom Poti-D- CapitalsNov. 21 - 1:25 pm et
Tom Poti will miss Saturday night's game against Toronto due to an upper body injury he sustained in Friday's 3-2 loss to Montreal.
The Capitals are expected to call up a player from their AHL affliate to take Poti's place on the roster. Consider the veteran defenseman day-to-day.

 Semyon Varlamov-G- CapitalsNov. 21 - 1:19 pm et
Seymon Varlamov will get the start against Toronto Saturday night.
Michal Neuvirth started Friday night and took a 3-2 loss at the hands of the Canadiens. Adjust your goalie rotation accordingly.

 Vesa Toskala-G- Maple LeafsNov. 21 - 1:06 pm et
Vesa Toskala will get the start against Washington Saturday night.
He has been better as of late and Jonas Gustavsson seems to have reached a plateau. Look for Leaf coach Ron Wilson to mix and match his goaltenders for the next little while.

 Colton Orr-W- Maple LeafsNov. 21 - 1:01 pm et
Toronto enforcer Colton Orr is probable for Saturday's contest against the Capitals.
He took a Carl Gunnarsson slapshot off his foot in Thursday's loss to Carolina and was awaiting precuautionay x-ray results. Chances are the Leaf tough guy will suit up. If you need penalty minutes, leave Orr in your lineup.

 Mattias Ohlund-D- LightningNov. 21 - 12:48 pm et
It does not appear that Mattias Ohlund (foot) will play Saturday night against Carolina.
The Lightning want to err on the side of caution with the veteran rearguard. Keep Ohlund on reserve until further notice.

 Mike Smith-G- LightningNov. 21 - 12:40 pm et
Mike Smith is expected to get the start against the Hurricanes Saturday night.
So much for Antero Niittymaki's outstanding performances to date. It looks as if the Bolts still perfer Smith as their starter. To be fair, Smith has played much better as of late, but his numbers still pale in comparison to those of Niittymaki's.

Sergei Gonchar who returned to action from a serious wrist injury on Thursday is still experiencing a bit of pain in the joint.
He played over 25 minutes against the Senators on Thursday and seems to be managing the pain. "There is some pain, but nothing tremendous," Gonchar said. Just be aware that the discomfort may inhibit him from doing some of the things he normally does.

 Brooks Orpik-D- PenguinsNov. 21 - 12:20 pm et
Brooks Orpik is expecting to play Saturday night against the Thrashers.
He has not played since November 10th due to a right knee injury. If you need Orpik in your lineup, get ready to activate him.

 Brian Boucher-G- FlyersNov. 21 - 12:16 pm et
We would not be surprised if Brian Boucher got the start Saturday against the Coyotes.
He was outstanding in Wednesday's game against the Kings and Ray Emery started Friday night and lost 6-3 to San Jose. Boucher also was once a member of the Coyotes. We believe it all adds up to a Boucher start.
 Arron Asham-W- FlyersNov. 21 - 11:53 am et
Arron Asham, who strained an oblique muscle in Monday's game against the Devils, is targeting a December 3rd return to action.
He is skating and his condition is improving. The Flyers host the Canucks next Thursday and Asham is hoping to be ready to suit up.
