Carmelo Anthony: Nets hope to meet w/ Melo on Saturday

    Carmelo Anthony - F - NY - Feb. 19 - 9:42 am et

The Nets hope to meet with Carmelo Anthony on Saturday to pitch their vision for the team's future -- Melo, for his part, said "I would love to sit down with Mr. Prokhorov...and see what the future holds in that situation."
"They’re moving to Brooklyn," Melo said about the Nets. "That would be perfect for me to go back, go back to New York, go back to my birthplace." We're not reading much into these latest statements -- his desire has been to join the Knicks, and suddenly New York is offering a very worthy package including Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Eddy Curry's expiring contract, and a first-round pick. Melo hopes to leave Los Angeles with "a legit offer on the table" and once this domino falls many more should soon follow. Feb. 19 - 9:42 am et
