    Tyrann Mathieu: Miles: DB Mathieu is 'no longer on our team'

    Tyrann Mathieu - DB - LSU - Aug. 10 - 1:02 pm et

    LSU head coach Les Miles announced Friday that junior DB Tyrann Mathieu is "no longer on our team."
    Miles added that "we'll miss him, but we have to go on." The head coach also noted that the decision is "permanent... he will not be back." Miles gave no specific reason other than it was "fundamental behavior" that led to the decision, but rumors circulated earlier that Mathieu failed another drug test, reportedly his third in three seasons. LSU "will help him try to find a place to play" next season, and the likeliest scenario is to move down a level of competition to an FCS program, similar to Janoris Jenkins. Aug. 10 - 1:02 pm et
