Tyler Eifert: Notre Dame TE Eifert records 4 grabs, 1 TD

    Tyler Eifert - TE - ND - Sep. 1 - 1:09 pm et

Notre Dame senior TE Tyler Eifert was held to only four catches for 22 yards, but he did haul in a touchdown in the Irish's opener against Navy on Saturday.
Eifert saw plenty of action as the Irish's move tight end, lining up in the slot, the backfield, and out wide. He still struggled to sustain as a lead blocker, but Eifert consistently delivered a nice pop on contact. The senior's touchdown catch showed off his highpointing and leaping ability, and the Irish will feature the tight end more often in the future. He screams Greg Olsen to us and Eifert remains one fo the top receiving tight end prospects in the county. Sep. 1 - 1:09 pm et
