    Sam Cyr: Cyr 16 shots too high @ 2nd stage of Q School

    Sam Cyr shot 12-over-par 296, finishing T-76 in the second stage of Q School at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas.
    The professional career of one of the best ever at the NAIA level will begin quietly after Cyr missed the cut by 16 strokes. Twenty-three from this site will book tee times at Bear Lakes CC in two weeks, including medalist Martin Flores (15-under 269). Troy Kelly (12-under) was runner-up. Other notables that also succeeded include Kyle Reifers (3rd), Tommy Gainey (T-4), Paul Stankowski (6th), Colt Knost (T-7), Scott Gutschewski (T-7), Luke List (T-7), Brenden Pappas (T-12), David Lutterus (T-12), Tyler Aldridge (T-16), Kelly Grunewald (T-19) and Michael Connell (T-19). Among those falling short were Steven Bowditch (T-24), Tag Ridings (T-28), Brian Vranesh (T-28), Kyle Stanley (T-28), Nick Flanagan (T-33), Kris Cox (T-33), Peter Tomasulo (T-45), Matt Hendrix (T-45), Kent Jones (T-62), and Wil Collins (T-78). David Berganio, Jr. placed T-65, failing to secure a safety net should he fall short of the terms of his expected medical extension out of the Q School/Nationwide Tour category. Nov. 21 - 7:09 pm et
