Luke Guthrie: Guthrie goes wild in opener at Pebble Beach

    Luke Guthrie - G - PGA - Feb. 7 - 7:05 pm et

Luke Guthrie enjoyed one of the more entertaining opening rounds at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am en route to a 4-under-par 34-34=68 on the house course.
The rookie hit only 10 greens in regulation but he converted an eagle and six birdies to help cancel four bogeys. That leaves just seven pars on the card. His longest par breaker was his first, a birdie that disappeared from 12'8" at the par-4 11th hole. The eagle dropped in from just 63 inches at the par-5 second where he hit the green from 230 yards out. He's two back of the overnight co-leaders and will play Monterey Peninsula Country Club's Shore Course in the second round. Feb. 7 - 7:05 pm et
