Paxton Lynch: Former Raiders scout prefers Lynch to Goff

    Paxton Lynch - QB - MEM - Dec. 28 - 7:43 pm et

Former Raiders scout Bruce Kebric indicated that while he likes both Memphis junior QB Paxton Lynch and Cal junior QB Jared Goff as prospects, he prefers Lynch.
"Goff is probably the more accomplished passer right now," Kebric said, "but Lynch is 6-foot-6 and a better pure athlete with a stronger arm." Kebric was a Raider scout for 31 years, so he's not green in the evaluation game. While there are those who prefer Goff to Lynch--and an NFL team that wants a more polished passer might lean that way--the general industry consensus is that the 6-foot-6, 225-pound Lynch will likely be the first of the two quarterbacks off the 2016 board, assuming both young men declare for the draft.
