    Jesper Parnevik: Parnevik withdraws from the Northern Trust

    Jesper Parnevik - G - PGA - Feb. 5 - 8:02 pm et

    Jesper Parnevik withdrew during his second round of the Northern Trust Open, citing a back injury.
    Parnevik was 10-over through 16 holes in his second round and 7-over for the tournament when he walked off. After his opening 68 on Thursday, he said, "... hopefully I can play tomorrow, but I had hip surgery in August and things have really not worked out." When asked to specify, he added, "It's the back. I have a bad case of sciatica, and I don't know how to get rid of it yet. I've tried everything so far. I'm going to see the physios this afternoon, but 68 is a great score no matter what, but today was unbelievable actually." He did not commit to next week's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
