    Ken Griffey Jr.: Griffey's new deal similar to 2009 contract

    Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com reports Ken Griffey's new one-year deal with the Mariners is similar to his 2009 incentive-laden contract.
    Griffey was paid a base salary of $2 million and earned another $1.5 million worth of incentives for batting .214/.324/.411 with 19 dingers and 57 RBI in 2009. We'll have the exact financial details of the new contract when they become available. Junior turns 40 on November 21. Nov. 11 - 12:27 pm et
