    Tim Wakefield: Red Sox' Wakefield has slight tear in labrum

    An MRI Friday revealed that RHP Tim Wakefield has a small tear in his right labrum, but he won't need surgery to repair it.
    Wakefield, who just had his 2008 club option picked up by the Red Sox, should be able to begin his offseason conditioning program in early December, as scheduled. Nov. 5 - 9:28 am et
