Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that the Brewers don't intend to bring back Jason Kendall unless he takes a pay cut. Brewers general manager Doug Melvin told Kendall's agent Arn Tellem that he doesn't want to spend $5 million on a starting catcher, as he did last season. "We explained our situation to him, what we're trying to do," said Melvin. "He said he'll talk to Jason about it." Prospect Jonathan Lucroy could emerge as at least a part-time starter next season if the 35-year-old Kendall leaves via free agency. Nov. 11 - 5:02 pm et Source:Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel
