No talks are ongoing, but the Yankees are said to be interested in Todd Helton and Brian Fuentes. Helton, who has full no-trade protection, indicated during the Red Sox talks that he would not accept an in-season deal. It's possible that's changed because the Rockies are struggling again, but he hasn't come out and suggested anything of the sort. Adding Fuentes to a Helton trade would be interesting, as it'd likely allow the Rockies to dump more of Helton's salary than they otherwise could hope for. Helton will be owed $73.5 million from 2008 through 2011. May. 24 - 12:18 pm et Source:Denver Post
