According to Jordan Bastain of MLB.com, the Blue Jays will watch John Halama pitch in the Dominican Republic on Thursday. Halama hasn't pitched in the big leagues since 2006 with the Orioles and has a 4.65 career ERA anyhow, so Bastain isn't sure about their level of interest in the 37-year-old southpaw. Halama was signed to a minor league contract by the Braves in June, finishing 4-7 with a 4.48 ERA in 16 appearances (13 starts) with Triple-A Gwinnett.
