According to Ed Price of AOL Fanhouse, the Blue Jays are set to re-sign infielder John McDonald for $1.5 million. McDonald has spent the last five seasons with the Blue Jays, who clearly values his glove. The 34-year-old could be in line for a lot of at-bats backing up third baseman Edwin Encarnacion and could end up starting at short if the club can't import a better option.
