Jarrod Saltalamacchia (thoracic outlet syndrome) is on his way to the Dominican Republic for two weeks of winter ball. Saltalamacchia experienced numbness in his right shoulder in August which led to the surgery. The 24-year old hit .233/.290/.371 in 283 at-bats and is looking for a bounceback year as he will enter spring training as the club's starting catcher.
