CSN Chicago's Chuck Garfien speculates that the Marlins are the favorites to land free agent starter Mark Buehrle. That transaction would reunite the southpaw with his former manager in Chicago, Ozzie Guillen. The Marlins are also the favorites to sign Jose Reyes after having signed closer Heath Bell. Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported previously that two unnamed National League clubs were moving closer to giving Buehrle the no-trade clause he wants. We think the Nationals and Marlins are those two teams. Cowley said three teams have offered the veteran a substantial three-year deal and we're assuming the Rangers are the other team.
