According to MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan, baseball officials believe Ben Sheets will land an annual salary of $7.5 million or more. Sheets impressed scouts with a short throwing session on Tuesday, hitting 91 MPH with his fastball and the low-70s with his curve. He's likely to receive bids from close to a dozen teams, including big spenders like the Cubs, Mets and Dodgers. The 31-year-old righty missed all of 2009 but he does offer a 3.72 career ERA and 1.20 career WHIP. For reference, Rich Harden signed for $6.5 million this offseason and Brad Penny landed $7.5 million. Jan. 20 - 10:23 am et Source:MLBlogs.com
