Twins signed outfielder Bobby Kielty to a minor league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Rochester. Kielty debuted with the Twins in 2001 and hit .269/.375/.444 in 224 games before being traded to the Blue Jays for Shannon Stewart. Since then he's shown himself to be overmatched as anything more than a platoon player, but with Michael Cuddyer's status uncertain the Twins may be able to use his bat against left-handed pitching.
