Chien-Ming Wang: Wang pitches Yankees past Tigers

    Chien-Ming Wang - S - CWS - Aug. 25 - 10:47 pm et

Chien-Ming Wang moved to 15-6 Saturday by allowing two runs -- one earned -- over eight innings in a win over the Tigers.
The Detroit lineup just isn't very intimidating with Gary Sheffield and Ivan Rodriguez absent and Sean Casey present. Wang, though, has had plenty of success against the Tigers when they're at full strength. Including the ALDS last year, he's 6-0 in seven starts against Detroit. Wang allowed just five hits tonight, breaking a string of eight starts in which he had given up at least seven. Aug. 25 - 10:47 pm et
