Kevin Youkilis: Youkilis homers in return to lineup

    Kevin Youkilis - 3B - NYY - Sep. 6 - 11:58 pm et

Kevin Youkilis, who was away from the team on Friday for a personal matter, returned to action on Saturday and had a three-run homer against the Rangers.
The homer was his 25th. There was always plenty of debate about Youkilis as he climbed through the minors, but there was no scenario that called for him to have a season in which he'd be a fringe MVP candidate with 25 homers and 48 walks in 476 at-bats. He had 11 walks for every homer in his minor league career (326 BB, 30 HR in 1,407 AB). Even in his first full major league season, he had 13 homers and 91 walks in 569 at-bats. Sep. 6 - 11:58 pm et
