Justin Morneau: Morneau hasn't begun baseball activities

    Justin Morneau - 1B - COL - Feb. 1 - 5:22 pm et

Twins general manager Bill Smith said Tuesday that Justin Morneau (concussion) hasn't begun any baseball activities.
The Twins are still optimistic that Morneau will be ready for Opening Day, but Smith continues to call his rehab "a work in progress." "We have pledged patience, and we only want him to go when he's ready," said Smith. "If that's March 1, April 1 or July 1, that's what it will be. We only want him to go through this one time. We don't want this to become a roller coaster." The Twins are obviously going to take every precaution here, but that doesn't mean you should dismiss Morneau as a fantasy option. We'll all just have to wait and see how he feels in the early part of spring training. Feb. 1 - 5:22 pm et
