Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports that the Orioles, Tigers and Royals have made inquiries on Jason Vargas. All three clubs seem intent on adding pitching help, and Vargas would be a solid addition to the back-end of the rotation. The left-hander didn't hurt his trade value Saturday with terrific showing against the Rays that lowered his ERA to 3.91. Vargas is arbitration-eligible this winter for a final time.
