Red Sox optioned outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury to Triple-A Pawtucket. Ellsbury surely preferred getting the callup in the first place, but it is disappointing that he lost his spot in the Sunday's Futures Game, even though he's going back to the minors now. He went 6-for-16 with two walks during his first stint in the majors. The Red Sox will bring up a reliever to replace him Friday, probably Craig Breslow. Jul. 6 - 1:04 am et
