Evan Longoria (hamstring) took batting practice, fielded grounders and ran in the outfield on Sunday. Longoria is aiming to begin a minor league rehab assignment by the end of this month with the hope of returning to the majors by mid-August. The Rays' third baseman has been on the disabled list since May 1 with a partially torn hamstring. He was batting .329/.433/.561 with four home runs and 19 RBI through 23 games.
