According to the Denver Post, scouts watching Franklin Morales this spring have noted that his velocity is noticeably down compared to last season. He's said to be throwing 89-91 miles per hour this spring, compared to 94-plus last year. "I want him to grow as a pitcher and not worry what the gun's showing," pitching coach Bob Apodaca said.
