Mark Reynolds (oblique) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Saturday with Double-A Bowie. He's slated to play there on Saturday and Sunday, after which the O's will make a decision about whether to active him. Reynolds landed on the disabled list earlier this month with a strained right oblique. He is batting just .191/.324/.337 with two homers and 36 strikeouts in 108 plate appearances this year.
