Red Sox acquired IF Tug Hulett from the Royals for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Hulett was designated for assignment by the Royals last week. The 26-year-old infielder was 2-for-18 (.111) in 15 games with the Royals last season, but batted .291/.384/.473 with 11 home runs and 53 RBI in 374 at-bats with Triple-A Omaha.
