Tigers infield prospect Scott Sizemore underwent surgery Tuesday afternoon to repair his fractured left ankle. The 24-year-old suffered the injury during a collision in the Arizona Fall League a few days ago and the Tigers are hoping he'll be ready to resume baseball activities by late January. Sizemore hit .308/.389/.500 with 17 home runs, 66 RBI and 21 stolen bases between Double-A and Triple-A this season. He could open 2010 as the Detroit's starting second baseman if soon-to-be free agent Placido Polanco is not re-signed. Oct. 28 - 7:42 am et Source:Associated Press
