Nationals manager Davey Johnson confirmed Monday that John Lannan will be the team's fifth starter. Lannan was shopped around throughout spring training, but the Nats are probably glad they held onto him with Chien-Ming Wang slated to miss the first month of the season with a hamstring strain.
