Dillon Gee: Gee has quality start in loss to Reds

    Dillon Gee - S - NYM - Jun. 15 - 10:46 pm et

Dillon Gee picked up the loss against the Reds on Friday, but still had a quality outing allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits over his six innings.
Gee struck out four and walked one on the night. The first run he allowed came on a Jay Bruce inside-the-park homer in the second inning when Jason Bay collided with the wall while trying to make a running catch. Brandon Phillips then got him for a two-run shot in the third inning to complete the damage against him. Gee drops to 4-5 on the season with the loss. While his 4.43 ERA is far from impressive, Gee’s 74 strikeouts in 83 1/3 innings are a welcomed sight for fantasy owners and do provide him with some mixed league value. He’ll look to get back on track when he takes on the Yankees at home on Friday. Jun. 15 - 10:46 pm et
