James Loney: Dodgers' Loney could face return to minors

    James Loney - 1B - TB - Mar. 19 - 10:30 pm et

Dodgers manager Grady Little made it sound like he wants James Loney getting regular at-bats in the minors at the start of the year.
"We have to consider the number of at-bats we'd get James," Little said. "We don't want to slow him down and have him go backward and then something happens here and he has to jump in. He needs to be ready." He is ready. It's just that the Dodgers had to block him with Nomar Garciaparra and Luis Gonzalez anyway. If Loney is sent down, the Dodgers may instead keep light-hitting infielder Wilson Valdez. Mar. 19 - 10:30 pm et
