    Dan Giese: A's reliever Giese to have Tommy John surgery

    Dan Giese initially thought he might need a procedure to move an irritated ulnar nerve, but was shocked to learn he needed Tommy John surgery.
    "It was like getting hit with a ton of bricks," Giese said. "The MRI showed my ulnar collateral ligament was completely torn." He projects to miss 12-18 months. Jun. 6 - 9:55 am et
