Jimmy Johnson makes in Sprint Cup Championship number four.
The No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet driver wins the 2009 Sprint Cup Series championship by 141 points over No. 5-Mark Martin. This is the first time a driver has won four consecutive Championships in any of NASCAR's premier series. Since teammates Johnson, Martin and No. 24-Jeff Gordon finished 1-2-3 in the standings, this is also the first time a team owner (Rick Hendrick) ever swept the top three spots in the standings.
