Despite a public statement to the contrary, Phil Jackson is "intrigued" by the Nets coaching job, a person with knowledge of his thinking told CBS Sports' Ken Berger on Friday. League sources told Berger the Nets will reach out to Jackson and could meet with the former Lakers and Bulls coach to discuss particulars. The report also mentions the Nets are more interested in Jeff Van Gundy than his brother and former Magic coach, Stan Van Gundy. Yahoo! Sports reported earlier Friday that Nets GM Billy King is intrigued by Rockets assistant coach Kelvin Sampson and that Sampson has emerged as a "significant" candidate for the opening. The Nets are expected to begin their official search within the next few days. Dec. 28 - 4:21 pm et Source:CBSSports.com
