Marcin Gortat said recently that he will play for the Polish national team this summer, and mentioned the possibility of signing with a Russian team during the NBA lockout. Gortat is confident that the Polish Basketball Federation will pay to have his contract insured, clearing the way for his participation in the Olympic-qualifying Eurobasket tournament.
