The Thunder are expected to waive Kyle Weaver before August 1, to prevent his contract from being guaranteed for next season. OKC had 16 players under contract and somebody needed to get the short straw. Weaver could sign with another team or head overseas, and the Israeli team Maccabi has already made an offer.
